Stop Being a Skinny Fat Person
by John Davenport
Most of the people believe you can either be skinny or fat. But the truth is that there are many people who are skinny fat people. What does it mean being a skinny fat person?

If you're not overweight, can fit into good sized clothes, most people would consider you to be thin. But we've all seen people by pool sides or on the beach walking around with a small pot belly or loose thighs and abdomen. If they were to wear clothes, you could hardly tell that they were in fact carrying a decent amount of fat on them. However, if you you were to touch them, then they would feel soft because they have fat deposits. Not enough to make them look fat, but enough to make them far from firm.

If you want to stop being a skinny fat person, then you need to know that simply losing weight will likely not do the trick. The problem starts because you lack muscle tissue. Most people feel it in their stomach. But it's not merely the fact that you're lacking muscles. You're also carrying some extra weight but some people find it extra hard to lose those 3-5 last pounds by diet alone.

The solution is to start adding muscle tissue for 2 reasons:

1. Muscle will make you look and feel more firm and hard.

2. Muscle is the best metabolism booster in your arsenal and you need to make the most of it.

Adding muscle tissue can be done by doing strength exercises, either with weights, or body-weight workouts. You need to make this part of your routine and stop focusing on cardio alone, which is one of the main things skinny fat people do.

You don't need to bulk up in order to stop being a skinny fat person. If you add a small number of muscle pounds, you will simply look firmer and feel better. One of the arees in which you'll probably see the most difference is in your abs. Adding muscle tissue will help you lose that stomach fat and become firmer and healthier.
