by Liliy Levenson |
|||||
| Conjunctivitis is a highly contagious and equally annoying eye condition. It's caused by the inflammation of the outer layers of the eye and the inner eyelids. Conjunctivitis is also known as pink eye. Conjunctivitis is caused by an allergic reaction or a bacterial or viral infection. Those who have suffered from pink eye are prone to re-occurrence. It is often treated with steroids, antihistamines and other prescription medications. But there is another way you could do to avoid the side effects. And it's very expensive to use the costly traditional medicine. You could treat the conjunctivitis through natural herbal remedies in your own home.
You could make your own herbal remedies in your house. You should prepare 200 ml spinach juice, 300 ml carrot juice, 1 cup gooseberry juice, 2 taps natural honey and 1 cup dried coriander. The cost for the herbal remedy is lower than the medical prescription. Water is the most important factor to treat your condition when you are ill. You should drink lots of water and fresh vegetable juices. The most beneficial vegetables are spinach and carrot. You should mix 200 ml of fresh spinach juice and 300 ml of fresh carrot juice daily to help relieve the symptoms of pink eye. On the other hand, it's very helpful to mix 1 cup of gooseberry juice and 2 tsps of honey and drink twice a day. Honey is a common ingredient in many herbal remedies. It helps to purify the blood. It also kills germs and bacteria that cause or aggravate conjunctivitis. You should go to local shop and buy some natural honey for your herbal treatment. To make sure you are clean you should wash your hand frequently and keep them away from your face and eyes. It's very useful to wash the effected eye with coriander tea. Boil two cups of water and remove from heat. Add one cup of dried coriander. It allows you to steep for five minutes. Strain the herbs from the liquid and it allows you to cool the room temperature. Use this herbal eye wash three times a day to relieve pain and soothe the inflammation. If you are prone to conjunctivitis, these herbal remedies can help during inflammation; protect yourself from future episodes by changing your pillowcases and eye cosmetics frequently. Don't use your contacts if you are suffering from conjunctivitis. You should not contract in either the normal or affected eye until the symptoms subside. It's very important because if you contact others, you could become a pink eye again.
